Photography Keeps it Moving. Thanks Papa!

Snap, Snap!

Taylor

In 2009, our coop started a Photography lesson. It’s been snap, snap ever since! We started by taking pictures of apples to learn all the facts about how a camera works. We tried placing them in different parts of the camera, we tried putting them in different surroundings, we tried everything! It was lots of fun. After tons of apple photos, we finally graduated to taking pictures of moving cars. During this session, we learned about being the perfect paparazzi; you have to be quick and hope no one sees you! After that we started to take pictures of all sort of things, paper boats, street signs, and so on. So to this day in in the future it will be snap snap!

Show vs. Tell

By Andrew

Photography is the way we express our thoughts, through image.  We prefer to show than tell.  It’s more poetic that way.  The pictures we are showing right now didn’t take that much thought, we just take ‘um, and they end up really cool, some even reward winners.  Papa, our photography teacher taught us about the whole camera itself, about the aperture, the lens, and all that other basic stuff you’d learn about in any photography class, but the catch is our photography class is special.
