Bless Joan, who does not shy away from grabbing hands full of creepy crawling worms! The boys not only dug this activity, they dug into the land - an activity that is near obsolescence in this neck of the woods. Though breaking ground around the house was fairy tough, the boys stuck to the task, swinging pick adzes (yes, according to Willie, the tool is an "adze") and shovels preparing the soil to host a variety of fall vegetables.
