Literature
By Andrew
Ah, literature, one of our favorite subjects. We read, write essays, all that kind of fun stuff. We discuss the book that we read, and give each other our different opinions. We agree, and most of the time, disagree, but it is okay if we disagree, because it’s just how we look at the book. We laugh, we play, and we also happen to slap every once in a while (just for fun). Robert and Hunter do it the most. One of the best parts about literature is that after we read a book, we sometimes get to watch the movie/motion picture. Even so, we ALWAYS want to dig deeper into the books we read. We like to ask questions like; what are the themes? What are the messages? How can we relate to that character’s mistake? Why is this important? The gift books give in our literature class transforms everyone in various ways. One way we change is we can look at a character’s mistake. What led up to that mistake? It could be temptation, selfishness, ignorance, and even jealousy. We could then try to avoid those mistakes by watching out for those things. This is our amazing literature group.

After Goliath
David and Goliath
By Liam
We pulled back the string to the rather large three-man slingshot; the boy in the back let go and looked at his rock fly and smack into Goliath. What we were doing that day was we were studying David and Goliath and our teacher, my grandpa, brought a long strand of rubber to use as a slingshot. When the rock hit the drawn goliath it left a shallow dent in the cardboard. We all took multiple shots and then we were ready to study actually about the story of David and Goliath. We will all remember that day forever.
Papa’s Chapel
By Blake
Papa’s chapel is something I always look forward to doing after photography. Its fun when all of the boys get together and learn about the Bible. First we go into the classroom and we pray. Next, Papa opens his Bible and reads the lesson that we are learning. The message I most remember is when papa taught us about David and Goliath. It was interesting listening to the story straight out of the Bible. Thank you Papa for the awesome chapel that you do for us!
